Rear Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and install

Remove, Disconnect

Remove toothed belt - see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install".

Remove camshaft sprockets - see operation "Camshaft Sprockets, Remove and Install".

Remove fastening bolts (1) and remove base plate for toothed belt tension roller and toothed belt guide roller from cylinder head.

Remove coolant pump (3) from cylinder block and toothed belt guide roller (2) from oil pump.

Remove, Disconnect

Remove fastening bolts (1) from cylinder head, threaded pin (2) from cylinder block, fastening bolt (3) from oil pump and remove rear toothed belt cover.

Install, Connect

Attach fastening bolt of rear toothed belt cover to cylinder block or oil pump - tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 Ibf. ft.

Attach threaded stud (2) to cylinder block - tightening torque 10 Nm / 7 Ibf. ft.

Attach toothed belt guide roller to oil pump - tightening torque - 40 Nm / 29.5 Ibf. ft.

Clean

Clean sealing surfaces of coolant pump.

Install, Connect

Lightly coat new seal ring of coolant pump and sealing surfaces of cylinder block with silicon grease (white). Attach coolant pump to cylinder block - tightening torque 25 Nm /18.5 Ibf. ft.

Install, Connect

Attach base plate (1) for toothed belt tension roller and toothed belt guide roller to cylinder head - 40 Nm / 29.5 Ibf. ft.

Install camshaft spockets - see operation "Camshaft Spockets? Remove and Install"

Install toothed belt - see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install".

Top up cooling system - see operations "Cooling System, Top up and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks".
